BERLIN HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION
e.V. (BHA)
Berlin's only English speaking historical association has the goal of furthering the interest of its international membership in the history of our city. The association was founded in 1995 as successor to the former American Historical Association of Berlin (AHAB). Our interest in history is based on the premise that it is helpful in charting the future if you have got a clear idea of the past. For how do you know where you are going if you don't know where you've been.
BHA holds regular
monthly meetings on historical themes with guest speakers and follow-up
discussions. Guest speakers have included noted authors, historians, military
personnel, diplomats and foreign correspondents. The one consistent requirement
for a speaker is expertise on the subject. In addition, BHA organizes guided
tours to historical sites in and around Berlin.
